Mawazo (TZ / CH) is an attempt to promote the concept of Ubuntu in the world of the rapid
consumption of human relations, information and materials, creating connections between people beyond cultural and geographical origins.
Mawazo is a Kiswahili word which means thoughts, heavy thoughts that tire us but also light thoughts that lift us up. It can be the engine that makes us exhibit, produce, run, react, question, be and exist. The artists on stage investigate their biographies, is capitalism a universal phenomenon  or has it skillfully adapted to the diversity of political and cultural systems? What hopes do we share? What fears? How do we respond to social pressure? Do we turn it into something positive? Or do we succumb?

Mawazo (TZ/CH) è un tentativo di promuovere il concetto di Ubuntu nel mondo del consumo rapido di relazioni umane, informazioni e materiali, creando connessioni tra le persone al di là delle origini culturali e geografiche. Mawazo è una parola Kiswahili che significa pensieri, pensieri pesanti che ci stancano ma anche pensieri leggeri che ci sollevano. Può essere il motore che ci fa esibire, produrre, correre, reagire, interrogarci, essere ed esistere. Gli artisti in scena indagano le loro biografie, il capitalismo è un fenomeno universale o si è abilmente adattato alla diversità dei sistemi politici e culturali? Quali speranze condividiamo? Quali paure? Come rispondiamo alla pressione sociale? La trasformiamo in qualcosa di positivo? O soccombiamo?

Mawazo (TZ/CH) sio Kiswahili na Gedanken; Schwere Gedanken, die uns ermüden, aber auch leichte, die uns aufrichten.
Es kann der Motor sein, der uns dazu bringt, zu uzalishajizieren, zu laufen, zu hinterfragen, zu existieren. Ein katika Tansania und der Schweiz lebendes Timu iliyosababisha kifo cha biografien darauf, ilikuwa es bedeutet, katika einer globalisierten Welt aufzuwachsen. Welche Hoffnungen teilen sie? Welche Ängste? Ist der Kapitalismus ein universelles Phänomen oder hat er er sich der Vielfalt von politischen und kulturellen Systemen geschickt angepasst? Im geteilten künstlerischen Raum suchen sie nach Verbundenheit untereinander und mit dem Publikum - über kulturelle und geografische Herkunft hinaus.
